Ladies Retreat

This past weekend, my mom and I attended a ladies' event in Kilgore, Texas, at the First Baptist Church of  Danville. There were several churches present, including the church where my parents attend. At lunch, several ladies informed me that the women from Graciously Broken were at the retreat. Having no idea what this meant, I just smiled and went about my business. Another precious member of the church began telling me about this amazing ministry. It helps women overcome their past experiences with pain and trauma by pointing them to Christ. I encourage you to click the link above to see if there is a way you can help support this wonderful ministry. Satan tried mightily to prevent this retreat from taking place, and I believe it is because he did not want these women to hear the story of how our brokenness can help us become a woman of virtue who lives her life for Jesus Christ.

Ladies Retreat

I had a wonderful time fellowshipping with the Sand Spring Baptist Church ladies last weekend. We stayed at Hidden Acres Campgrounds, which was so beautiful. We saw several deer and geese, and somewhere nearby was a rooster. Of course, I had to stop in the middle of the road and take a picture of the most beautiful sunset. I was asked to speak (3) separate times between crafts and games. The girls who led the worship service chose songs that matched perfectly with the text (1 Samuel 1-2). We discussed Hannah's life and how she acknowledged God's goodness and abounding grace even in her most difficult times. The best part of the weekend was seeing ladies sitting all around the campsite completing the journal questions I provided them. It was important to me that the ladies utilize this quiet time to read God's Word and pray to their Father. If you are looking for a speaker at your next ladies' event, feel free to check out my speaking one sheet.

Book Signing

Signing books at a local bookstore was eye-opening. Honestly, I was nervous when I first walked into the store, worried about meeting new people. Fortunately, I am blessed to attend a church family who has supported this calling in my life. It was good to see some old and new faces. I met several women who are leading or feel called to lead ladies in their local churches. What a blessing to walk with them and pray alongside them as they minister to young ladies. It was a wonderful day! And in case you're wondering, the butterflies flew away rather quickly, and I had an amazing time.

Holiday Vendor Market

My mom and I had fun meeting new people at a vendor market in North Texas. I connected with a future author, and God allowed us to pray for an unborn child who would soon be making his way into the world. It is always a gift to pray for others. I am thankful for those moments and how God uses every opportunity for His honor and glory. I am also grateful for my supportive parents who are pictured below.
